Blogging doesn't come naturally yet
I’m going to upload the new blog pages woo! OK still to do:
- Pagination? Is it worth having a “next post” button??
- Sorting by tags?
- Probably a breadcrumb link
- More pages!! A page about my stream? Streaming again??
- Work on my redesign (very little done so far)
Today I’ve written out a code of conduct for people I play Blood on the Clocktower online with after a particularly frustrating evening. Maintaining a community is hard, I’ve been a hardcore rules person before and it hasn’t made me any friends, and being hands-off means that the people you like don’t want to hang around because their experience is being spoiled by people being obnoxious. I’ve played enough games now that I’m not desperate to let absolutely anybody play any more just so I can run a game, so I’m prepared to be a bit more exclusionary if people can’t improve their conduct.
In the future I’d love to make animated videos of my online Clocktower games, a project which I did make a start on but is a looong way off. It’s currently third place to web development and making custom Magic card art.
